As of 2026, Taiwan stands out with 21.08% of Threads’ total users, making it the app’s most engaged audience by country. Among which, around 44.52% users access Threads via mobile and remaining 55.48% via desktop devices.

The United States has 14.85% of Threads users, and 40.95% of those use desktop devices to use Threads and 59.04% user mobile devices. 

India contributes 7.33% of Threads users, with 13.19% of users using desktop and 86.81% using mobile devices.

Threads had the highest number of downloads in July 2023, with 73.14 million installs across the App Store and the Play Store.

In March 2024, the Threads app saw 27.98 million downloads, an increase of 7.16% from February.

In February 2024, downloads were 26.11 million, a 15.06% decrease from January’s 30.74 million.
