| 2026 (As of Q2) | $786 million | n/a (partial year) |
Roblox creators earned $786 million in the first two quarters of 2026. That half-year figure is already higher than the full-year total for 2023, which was $740.7 million. It also equals 52.3% of what creators earned in all of 2025.
2025 was the biggest year on record, with creator earnings of $1.5 billion. That was a 62.9% jump from $922.82 million in 2024. Roblox credits the hit game Grow a Garden with helping the platform break records in Q2 2025. Before that, earnings grew 24.6% in 2024.
Growth was slower in the two years before that, at 18.7% in 2023 and 15.9% in 2022, the slowest year in the data. The fastest growth came in 2020, when creator earnings rose 193.6%, from $111.98 million to $328.74 million. Back in 2018, creators earned just $71.89 million.
Creator earnings also show up in the wider economy. According to Roblox’s 2026 Economic Impact Report, US-based creators generated a GDP impact of $752 million in 2025, a 69% increase over 2024. Creator activity supported 7,525 full-time job equivalents in the US, up 55% from 2024, and nearly 12,000 across the markets Roblox studied worldwide.
Much of this money goes outside the usual tech hubs. About 66% of 2025 payments to US creators, nearly $444 million, went to areas with a lower concentration of tech workers than the national average. Among creators surveyed, 83% work as individuals and not as established studios.
Earnings are not spread evenly, though. More than 42,000 creators are part of the DevEx program, and the median creator received about $1,500 in the 12 months ended June 30, 2026. By comparison, the 2025 edition of the report showed that the top 1,000 developers earned an average of $820,000 in 2024, while the top 10 averaged $33.9 million
Creator payouts are taking up a larger slice of the money Roblox makes. In 2025, creator earnings of $1.5 billion were equal to 30.7% of Roblox’s revenue of $4.9 billion. In 2018, that figure was 23.0%, when creators earned $71.89 million against revenue of $312.77 million.
The gap in growth rates explains the shift. Roblox revenue grew 35.9% in 2025, while creator earnings grew 62.9%. From 2018 to 2025, revenue grew 15.7 times, and creator earnings grew 20.9 times.
In the first half of 2026, Roblox reported revenue of $2.9 billion, including $1.46 billion in Q2 2026. Creator earnings of $786 million were equal to 27.1% of that revenue.
